Non-urgent advice: Healthcare Assistant
Healthcare Assistants support Practice Nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, patient health checks, ECGs and diabetic foot checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Non-urgent advice: GP Assistant
A General Practice Assistant supports the running of clinics by performing clinical and administrative tasks on behalf of the GP, freeing up their time to focus on the patient. This improves patient access and releases highly qualified staff to treat and manage patients with more complex conditions.

Non-urgent advice: Phlebotomist
A phlebotomist is a healthcare professional that specifically draws and collects samples of blood for laboratory testing.

The team offers support by signposting to local groups and community activities, promoting personal independence, mental health awareness, benefits and financial liaison support as well as reducing social isolation and managing daily routines. Patients can self refer by calling the team on 01249-462775 and choosing option 3.
